Question Guages- Power Question

I have just installed 2 new guages. A narrowband A/F ratio guage, and a turbo/vacuum guage.

The turbo/vacuum guage is working, but there is no backlight, and the A/F isn't working at all.
the reason being i can't figure out how to get power to them.

I tried cutting the wires going into the cigarette lighter and using them as a power source, but i still don't have power.

Here is a diagram of what i have done, and what i think it right. I have cut of the ends of the wires and just spliced the guages directly to them, so there is no power to the cigarette lighter.

I must be doing something wrong, cos like i said, i have ZERO power to the new guages.

There's install instructions on here, look in the evo how-to forum. Might I ask why did you bother getting a narrowband and a boost gauge? You don't have a turbo and the A/F is good for nothing but a light show.

^i got them for free. another member needed a stock A-pillar so he traded me the guages and pillar for my stocker. Also i use the vacuum guage cos i got that piggy hooked up and FPR, so i kinda want to keep a check for vacuum leaks. And the narrowband is pretty much just for show. But like i said, it was free

and wires on the guage. 2 for power. 1 to go to the O2 sensor. So 3 in all.

And i couldn't find instructions. All i saw was "tap into cigarette lighter for power"
theres no instructions on how to do that

Ok so you have a ground wire, +12V constant, switch wire (trigger on wire), and the sensor wire. u can tie the +12V and the switch wire to the ciggy positive wire and it will shut the gauge on when the key is in the ACC positon. The way I did it is I found in the fuse box a fuse that was allways power whether the car was on or off and tied the +12V constant there. Then I tied the switch wire to the green wire on the dimmer switch so that my gauges cut on only when my parking lights and/or headlights was on but u can tie this one to the ciggy positive wire.

Installation

I always use a add a circuit for feeding power to accessories, This way you have a fuse for it. and your not splicing up factory wiring. you can get them at advance autoparts or napa or whatever for around 7 bucks. just get a noid light, if you don't already have one and find out what fuse comes on with your key
