I can't see that really doing much in the way of increasing plenum volume. It might be nice for extra vacuum ports but, I don't see it making any measurable amount of power.

It is easy "bold on horsepower" though as the website says. That's one step above "bolt on hp" and one below "hard on power".LOL

Why do I see these things becoming the next grounding kits? The aftermarket sees the spacers that skunk made for the VQ in the Z which probably works given that cars intake manifold design and figures "here's one more thing we can sell" then makes them for everything.

But, I could be wrong.

Thats insane On a turbocharged engine a spacer like that will do dik. Imagine adding an inch to your intercooler piping before the throttlebody, will that improve anything? Nope. This mod is worth something if it were a NA car were a longer throttle air entry would produce higher air velocity.

I might could see it being worth something if it was a spacer that fit between the head and the manifold effectively giving you longer runners, moving the injectors a bit further way helping the mixture and, maybe controlling heat soak if it were a phenolic material.

That is not a accurate analogy

This goes between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Adding to the intercooler piping is before the throttle body.

Agreed it will not give you a ton of power but it will not decrease throttle response like longer I/C piping.

Sorry for the typo on our site. It shows we vendors are human Already fixed it

Also this part will not give great power. But there are some uses for it.

People that have upgraded to a Mangus or other sheetmetal intake manifold normally lose all the Vacuum ports that are on the stock manifold and either have to weld them on or having one hose T fitted 40 times This give the option to have these ports easily.

Also a increase in plenum volume not matter how small is still a increase.

If it were a little thicker, it would be a nice place to mount a methanol nozzle or two.

Working on cading up something like that right now. Who would be interested? My guess on the price might be... $80 a piece?

Anyone have any luck with this throttle body spacer?

http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=1501

Will it fit with an AMS short route UICP?

The main reason I wanted this is for a clean way to install vacuum lines beside a vacuum block.

But, my concern with using this spacer is my AMS UICP might not fit?

Any thoughts guys?
