I believe your notion is correct because the first graph is in 4th with really crappy gas. it was 91 but from some no name mom and pop gas station off coast highway. The second graph is with descent chevron 91. Next time I dyno it will be with a fuel pump and on a dynojet with shell v-power.

did they charge you for a re-dyno? Who ran the dyno?

The best gas for the EVO in CA is Unocal 76 91 Octane. That is what my tuner told me to use and that is what Shiv recommends.

yes they charged for the re-dyno , and bill was the one who did it.

I dunno, it's a toss up between shell and 76 for me because I get better mileage it seems with the shell. Either way I'm still waiting on the analysis from works to tell me what's best in my situation. I'm thinking fuel pump. But there are two different walbro's to chose from. the reg. 255 and then theres a high performance one. which one?

try a different dyno if you can to get more readings & yes buy a fuel pump & get retuned for it. what i'm hearing on the west coast is a max of about 4 degrees timing on 91 octane...

You mean pulling timing and not adding timing, ie, -4 degrees, correct?

okie dokie, my head is finally cleared out and I figured out why all this jumpiness occured. From the wisdom of the experienced oliver and other engineers at WORKS after analysing my data they said I have the numbers about right and I'm above where I want to be, especially in the torque dept with the mods which is good. Secondly, the hills and vally's can be explianed simply because whoever dynoed was not too educated on the sweep pattern of evo's. Apparently. . . Subaru's are dyno'd in 4th and given a sweep time of roughly 13-15 seconds(strange I know). Now Oliver at works tells me with his experience that EVOS should be dyno'd with a sweep time of roughly 7-9sec in 3rd or 4th. So in conclusion. . . it was like my car was given a very wierd load (like going up hill) and the the sweep time was too long. They are still deciding wether or not I should get a fuel pump. They will tell me in short time. They also said that the A/f ratios were about right because the measurements were taken aft of the stock cat. So I should be around 11.2 up high given the reading from my primary o2 sensor before the cat.
