O.
I know that DC one, I asked you about it a while back. It's like $3xx. I thought the idea of any A/M exhaust mani would not be worth the extra price, DC, Maxford, ect.
One of the main points I was trying to get across was that the DC, or any other 'racey' exhaust manifold wouldn't produce much if any more gain on a 20g-9 than on a stock turbo. Who's to say what a matched, $900 manifold would do when coupled with a huge snail.... but basically that from stock turbo to 20g-9 isn't a huge jump, and wouldn't be with whp gained from an a/m mani.

FYI, a friend of mine who was running the DC sports manifold just cracked a couple of weeks ago. he was still using the stock O2 housing
you will never face this issue with a stock manifold.

just wondering whether it will be worth it for me. I'll have to ship it internationally there and back. I suppose it's still worth it compared to getting Full Race.

thanks for the info.

good idea that. have to find someone who's willing to go through all the hassle however. Are exhaust manifolds the same for JDM 8 MR's?
sorry, full of questions today...

At Buschur, yes, they do get backed up, because they don't send you back your parts. They keep parts pre-coated and pre-ported so that they can send you a replacement the moment yours arrive. Then, you get your parts and install them right away while they spend all the time getting the porting and coating done on the parts you sent. When the shelves are empty from tons of people having this done, they have to wait on their parts to come back from the coating place.

In my case, they had plenty on the shelves, so I sent mine Monday, they got there Wednesday, Nick immediately packaged and shipped me 3 pre-ported/pre-coated parts in my same box, and they arrived on Friday. 4-day turnaround using that method, whereas if everyone had to wait on the porting and coating of their own parts each time, it would take much longer.
warr what 3 things did you have ported and coated? did you have a before and after dyno chart? more info please, PM or here thanks!

Internationally??? I find it hard to believe you can't find someone where you are to do the same services for you.

You'd be surprised. I can try and port it myself or I might be able to find people who port the thing, but the coating might be difficult. There's lots of people I know who do industrial coating (with carbides and ceramics and so on) but none of them have done manifolds before so it's not really worth the risk...
