Take out the MBC and run a line from the pressure source to the WG, cut that line and put a "T" fitting in it and a simple needle valve from home depot to bleed off boost. This will tell you if you have enough WG spring and if your MBC is faulty. Also if you can first switch the BOV with another

Generally the surge will get worse the higher you turn the boost. If the sound is mostly once the turbo gets to full boost....does it go away after engine rpm climbs a bit? If so..definatly comp surge and pretty much nothing is going to fix it (adjusting bov, wg, mbc).

only way to fix comp surge on spoolup is to make the engine bigger or make the turbo spool slower, or run less boost.
yep it goes away after the rpm climbs past 20psi.. SOB i knew i should of gotten a ported shroud

lol i mean't, after it hits full boost it starts to surging then when it climbs more in the rpm range like after 6k it goes back to normal

What's happening is the turbo is moving more air than the engine can use. The excess air is pressurized, and is forcing its way back through the intake. It clears up at 6k rpm because only at higher rpm is the engine is finally able to flow enough air to alleviate this problem.
