Any vendor could get an anti-surge cover. Call Buschur, AMS, Precision Turbo, Turbotrix, etc, etc...

I asked AMS about it awhile ago and they could then. Anyone that can sell turbos should be able to get the covers. I think most companies just drill the cover to make it anti-surged. Im not sure who actually makes a true port shrouded cover.

Call ATP Turbo, they can get it to you or atleast point you in the correct direction. They have great customer service.

I had to get mine sent to pte. The backing plates are different between the e and s covers.

You are correct, the back plate has to be changed so you will need the cover and the back plate kit, usually around 35-45 dollars. To change the plate is not very fun, I had to modify a good pair of needle nose plyers to get the clip off becuase I couldn't find the right size tool.

How much do these go for? I have one from a bad turbo. Depending on how much the cover is worth, I'd consider parting it out.

PTE also re-balances the assembly.

I heard that the double inlet anti-surge cover your looking for gives no surging at all but you lose a little on the top end. However, the bulleted style antisurge does the same thing without losing top end. The top 35R kits like AMS, buschur all use the ported S shroud bullet style for a good reason opposed to the double inlet.

The cover PTE sells, the one with the multiple holes is a double inlet also. A ported cover should also be termed "map width enhancement grove" At the bottom of the wholes is a grove that feeds the blades. The compressor map is wider which is why the turbo is less likely to surge.

The anti surge covers were going for about 200 bucks new, their is nothing to re-balance becuase the cover has nothing to do with the rotating assembly.
