electrical smell please help!!

HEY
I was beating on my car pretty badly today and then I noticed a odd smell. It smells like something electrical is burning. I dont really know to much about engines and I was wondering if anyone knows or thinks they might know what caused this and how it can be fixed. Its not the clutch burning...its smells like something eletrical is burning. Any help is apprciated. Thanks

What do you mean "electrical smell"? You mean burning plastic smell?

It is probably clutch you can smell....it is suprising how many customers associate burnt clutch smell with electrical problems

My '03 with over 48k miles STILL smells when I get on it. Like when climbing a hill on the freeway or something and constantly boosting, it smells like hot plastic or rubber or something like that. It's done it since day one and still does it today 2 years later. I am 100% stock (minus the shifter bushings) will stock clutch, brake pads, everything. Hell, every single day when I pull into the driveway after work I could swear I smell clutch, but it still grips no problems. So unless you see smoke or can pinpoint the problem exactly, you may just wanna chalk it up to normal.
