Apexi BOV and S-AFC
Apexi BOV and S-AFC
So by now we all know the EVO VIII runs rich and stalls with open atmosphere BOVs. I already have a twin chamber Apexi BOV, which i really want to use. If i get the Apexi S-AFC and make adjustments it should work right??
Also, if VTA BOVs don't work well with Mitsu, how come Apexi has direct fit kits for Eclipse and 3k GT?
Thanks guys

Thanks for the PM. The S-AFC has an idle stabilizer function, so theoretically this should work. I couldnt confirm it 100% because I havent tried it, but leaning out the idle point when closing the throttle shouldnt be that difficult to do for an AFC
I've asked around different tuners(Kansai HKS, JUN, CYBER EVO,DECK Japan, BOZZ, and some local tuners) by e-mail when I first got my BOV. Some say a idle stablizer is must for a open air BOV. But almost All agree:
1) Air flow sensor = Recirculating type is best
2) No air flow sensor = open atomsphere is better
3) idle stablizer is must EITHER way. You can only lie to the computer(ECU) for so long...
PS. most people choose open air BOV for sound and not really the performance. PEACE
