What does that have to do with a gt series turbo.

On the stock twinscroll yeah the pitch on the wheels is reversed but on the gt series they are standard rotation.

All were asking the change is the flange on the housing to mate to the stock manifold.

It seems like the problem with all of the aftermarket turbine housings designed to bolt on to the stock manifold is that they simply don't flow as well as the 'real' housings designed by Garrett.

So, isn't it just easier to use an adaptor plate such that you can then bolt on the 'true' Garrett turbo of your choosing without having to use a compromised-in-flow turbine housing?

you mean an adapter plate like vishnu turbo kit setup? Is that a twin scroll reverse rotation manifold that vishnu is using?

The difference is Robert Young is actually a engineer and stickler for designing a product PROPERLY. They wouldn't release something without proper R&D like other companies do. Look at the FP investment cast stainless housings available for DSMs, they outperform every other "bolt on" housing for garret cartridges out there.

What about this bolt on Evo 8 GT35R from Himni Racing:

I just found it on E-bay, and I don't know anything about it.

Keep thinking about it and eventually it will come to you... if it still doesn't I'll draw a picture.

Just get the Vishnu stage 2. Why have FP re-invent it?

In any case, I already have a tubular manifold, so I'll stick to looking cool.

IIRC, the ATP custom hotside is a twin scroll.

That turbine housing makes the exhaust take a WILDLY sharp turn once it enters the housing.

That's the ATP turbo housing. That picture is right off ATP's site.

The ATPs seemed like a good solution until the dyno numbers started to get out. IIRC, the Vishnu adaptor solution yields better results.

I think the cost would be worth it, (assuming its possible to make a bolt on turbo upgrade). Can you imagine a 3071 or 50trim direct bolt on! Oh my... they wouldnt be able to produce them fast enough even if they were $2k!
