Car Wont Turn Over

Last night I drove from NYC to Vermont, about a 5 hours drive. I stopped about half way and got dinner. Car was fine no weird noises or anything. I park it in the drive way and turn it off. This morning I went to go move it and I turned the key for as long as I normally do and the car started to turn over ran for about 2 seconds and then died. Now when i turn the key it is just the starter trying to turn over the engine. I let it sit and unpluged the batter for about 5 min and when back and it started to start, but still nothing. I briefly checked all the hoses and did see anything out of the ordinary. I am confused some help would be great!

BTY I have full I/C piping, full TB w/o the cat, SMC Alky, MBC, DV, and a custom dynoflash tune.

Did you notice any weird sounds while driving? Ticking or anything?

Check your fuses.
Also pull your plugs and check them.
Is your battery good?
Does the motor turn over?

I am confused. Is the motor turning over or not. The first sentence says it is, and the second one says it isnt. If the motor is turning over that just means it is cranking. Doesnt mean its actually starting. This makes a big difference on figuring out whats wrong with the car.

The fuses looked good. The spark plugs looked like a light tan color and were sandpaperish feeling. Is this normal? I know that black and white are bad colors for sparkplugs, but i dont know about this. I am running around 23 psi or so. I have not changed the plugs since I got the alky which was like 7000 miles or so back. Also last night I was driving pretty fast (Because it was Vermont and there are not a lot of cops on the road). Any help would be great!

I think I might just go out and buy new plugs anyway. What gap should I set them at?

Yup the car has power and everything runs electronically. I think i might check the fuel pump. I have a 255. Any other suggestions would be great!

I had the same thing happen to me in my 85 honda accord.....Timing belt blew right as I pulled into a parking lot....only way I found out was to remove the oil cap and peer inside making sure the cams were spinning (while my friend cranked it over)......it would crank over....but never start. Take a looksy inside with the oil cap is off while your friend cranks it for you....grab a flash light just in case. Just a thought.

just listen for the pump to purge when you turn the key. If you dont hear it...thats the culprit
