Why am I hearing my BOV (dumb question?!)

Car = 04 RS pretty much stock, TB exhaust and Works drop-in. I don't even drive it in the winter. So it has been laying in the garage for a good 4-5 months. I had never hear the BOV blish b4 until this week. (15000miles so far)
I can hear the pshhhh during shifting (3500+rpm). I checked the engine bay yesterday, everything looks good. Except I found out the plastic tubes that came with Weapon R Oil catch can was melted. (came off) So I brought some new tube and re-installed it.
I was driving as usual today, and i'm still hearing the BOV pshhh. Weird, could it be boost leak? I haven't checked yet.
p.s. b4 the winter I checked with my boost gauge max boost @19.5 psi and tapers off around 16psi.

That's normal. A bov should make noise but is your bov stock? Oh and you changed your stock airbox to Works drop in, that's probably why you hear the bov.

That sounds normal. I'm not sure why you didn't notice it before, though. Any type of air intake, even a drop-in filter, usually amplifies the BOV noise. When I put my air intake on, my stock BOV sounded loud...especially considering I didn't hear it before. I would say all appears good.

Should be fine, unless you hear the noise under acceleration, in which case you have a leak.
