Boost- control + Blow-off valves

O.k. i have never had a s/c'd or turbo car before and need to know,

1. If i get an electronic boost-controller can i simply press a button to crank up my boost so that i can be faster and push another button to turn it down when im just cruising?

2. I have heard about blow-off valves that blow off into the atmosphere and otheres that recirculate the air. Are there any out there that can kinda do both because while i want to be as fast a possible i really like that loud a$$ "WOOOSH" sound, and with that said how much estimated power do you lose by having it blow off into the atmospher???

Thanks,

1) Yes, but you need to be tuned for the high boost.

2) Yes, APS is one of the best BOV's out there, and it does both.

You could get a dual port BOV. It recirculates and VTA while still holding high boost.
