LICP install ? on a IX MR

I'm installing LICP on my IX and I can't seem to get them to line up with the intercooler outlet. Do I need to remove the plastic air shroud around the oil cooler to get the pipe high enough?

I used the factory 45 degree elbow coming off the intercooler to get things to line up, but I know that's not correct. The kit comes with a straight silicone coupler. The outlet on the intercooler is angled down so I'm not sure how this is supposed to fit.

I took off my bumper and the undertray in one piece. Which LICP did you get. I have the AMS, it came with the couplers. You should not have to take off the oil cooler.

It's HP Freaks LICP. I know they have installed many of them with no fitment issues. All I removed was the undertray. It was a pain reaching the on factory bracket but I got it off.

I just can't see how the intercooler outlet that is pointing down at an angle will meet up with the pipe that runs parallel to the ground. When I used the factory connector that looks like a 45 degee angle it fits ok.

Sorry, I should have explained more, its early for me....

I took off the stock piece and then set it on my bench. I took the AMS and lightly clamped everything together and made it look like the stock piece on my table. Once that was done, I just went back under my car and bam - fit perfect. Just had to tighten everything up.

You need to use the 45 degree factory coupler. The straight coupler is for aftermarket FMICs that connect straight.

I just took the LICP off the car and started from scratch just in case I did something wrong. I ended up the the same results. Using the factory 45 where it goes into the intercooler it fits fine, hangs a little lower, but I guess I'll leave it.

Thanks! I wrote this before I saw the post above.
