I left mine in. Helps the drivetrain shock I guess. Best 60ft so far is 1.58 on stock tires.

I removed mine. I hated the vague engagement point with the stock rubber line and restrictor pill. Restrictor pill is teh GHEY!!

In a post on MiEvo a tech guy from Exedy said that it should be removed according to their in house engineers

Personally I removed mine, and installed a braided clutch line. Engagement/Disengagement is always the same, swift and smooth. I would never run the restrictor again.

I took mine out i get a better feel for the clutch, but also i still have the OEM Clutch but will have the Exedy Twin HD in soon and a clutch line along with it. i'll see what it feels like then and see if i put it back in or not . also i was thinking about boring it out some i have like three of them here so i might try that also.

I was told from Exedy removing it was prob one of the bigger reasons the tob pops off on Evos.

I see no reason to leave it in...the restrictor causes more slippage. Although I can't conclusively say the restrictor caused the problem, I burned up my Exedy Twin disc up in 12,000 street driven miles with zero racing/launches. I associate the problem with the restrictor, not the clutch. I have since removed the restrictor and am much happier with the engagement/feel of the clutch.

Those leaving the restrictor in to prevent transmission transmission failures should try other methods. Clutch jobs on EVOs aren't the easiest/cheapest.
