Thats a dagger bro....did you just drop the clutch at the drag strip? You didnt slip it at all or something? I have an \'03 and im nervous about blowing mine but you have an \'05 and they dont have the same issues.

On a sidenote Im sure Damian did a good job on the clutch....he did a goodjob with my motor swap and turbokit on my old Civic hatch

you can probably find a new one for 1900 and then add labor on that.

Call Jon a TRE, you can probably get an LSD intsalled too. If you go with a new one from the dealer, then get the nwer RS one with the LSD in it.

Joesph called me and from what he was telling me it sound like the ring-n-pinon gears .
Ive had 2 t-cases go down one from wheel hop (front diff) and the other from the WRONG fluid (thank you ) . But they never made that sounds that they are talking about .
Thats is ALOT of $$$ $1900-3400 wow , I really thing its the gears(ring-n-pinon) if it is call me i have a extra t-case with a good ring and pinon gears .

BTW he has a 2005 so it comes with a fr lsd (if its still in one peace)

Yeah man the sound is weird, At highway speed its a howl thats so loud inside car it hurts. When you just keep the gas at a constant speed it sounds like gravel is being chewed up, when you let go of the gas the noise is all gone.

TeStUdO- where the hell you at man? Small world, its good hearing from ya man. How things going?

Well its definitely the transfer case.....anything sounding like an airplane taking off always is....

Now slightly off topic......

Damian,

Im back in Maryland now.....its funny how we both start with the turbo Hondas and realize FWD turbo is a losing battle and end up with Evos LOL I guess you are at Pope or Seymour Johnson now? Hit me up on PM and we can catch up

Ok well have the whole car apart, Took the TC apart and there is no wear what so ever. NO metal chuncks and nothnig I would ever think is not normal. It honestly looks brand new. OK the oil in the tranny had a tad bit of metal flakes in there. But when i stuck my fingure in the other half thorugh the rear inspection cover there are a good few metal chunks, about the size of a broken piece of lead on a wood pencil. When turning the tranny by hand it sounds fine, but it was fine at low speeds anyways. OK queston time, what type of diff is in the tranny on a 05 could the spidergears be crap? I have rebuilt many trannys on heavy duty trucks and hondas but never a evo, Im debating uplling this things apart. Anyone done this before and have a quick how to guid for i can get a look at the diff? thanks
