How much oil do u guys collect on the can sitting in front of the firewall but
behind the engine.

I'm getting this much after about 150 miles...

But after a while... the tube will stop collecting oil until I empty it. ??

Are you saying the hole in the intake manifold is open?

So I have the new style Greddy catch can. Connected it from breather valve cover side to the catch can, then to the air intake. Im having problem with my idle (fluctuates really badly, sometimes stall) when connected back to the air intake. yet id idles fine when vented to the atmosphere.

Anyone have any idea wat could be wrong here. Its really bugging me. Should I jus let it vent to the atmosphere?

I dont an evo btw. I have a turboed eclipse. With greddy emanage. Was also wondering if it could be the tune of the emanage thats causing all the idle prob when i connect it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay... this is a stupid question but I have been sitting on EvoM for 2 hours now and research isnt my thing. Can someone simply point out the two points that the second can from the DC3 sits between? As in, where is the PCV and intake manifold lines on the Evo?? I get the breather to the air filter, but I am not able to figure out the other two points. Fireman YGPM

Standing in front of the engine, find the oil cap. Right behind it on the back side of the valve cover you will and or should find the PCV valve. The hose runs from there to the intake mani about 6-8 inches long. You want to remove that hose and add the new hose (as short as you can) going from the PCV valve to the top of the DC3 and the other hose from the side of the DC3 to the intake mani. The flow and or vacume air go's in the direction from the PCV to the mani and will not flow the opposite way unlass the PCV valve is faulty.

Ok , finally

This is the way I'm hooking up my catch can. PCV to catch can, catch can to intake manifold.

OK, here is a diagram of a properly configured dual catch can setup. Each can should have some form of filter media in it to help condence out the nasty crap you are trying to capture.... an open can works, but not nearly as well.

Is this the same on the Evo X?
