Well you are making me feel better because I was very nervous about this.

It would be better it the pressure change would have happened in each gear. I could tune for that. Sadly its only in 4th 5th. To combat the higher PSI in higher gears I have to lower my PSI in lower gears.

that's why load based tuning is better. if you could wire up an afc and a map sensor you could use the map signal instead of the tps signal and it would totally alleviate that problem.

If you are "boost spiking" after your 02 install, chances are, that your WG passage opening where it routes back into the exhaust passage is too small, causing some minor backpressure on the WG passage only, making it difficult to release gasses from the WG and directing more flow out of the exhaust.

Before I installed my 02 housing I noticed the hole was not as big as it should be so I smoothed it out and opened it up a bit with a die grinder, this is something you guys may want to look into before installing theese 02 housings. Since the metting point between the two passages is not as smooth as a stock 02 housing, and causes more turbulance, everything you can do to improve this will make your boost control more accurate.

No updates but I do now have the Indivia and Works 02 housings here. We are waiting on V-band exhaust parts to come in, should be here this week. I have to build a new downpipe for my car with a larger flange for these 02 housings. I may have data by the end of the week.

Any updates from the dyno? What type of power did you pick up with this 02 housing?

Thanks

I have the works DP but am considering adding a splitter to it match up to the existing divide in the exhaust housing to keep the wastegate gases separate slightly longer. This was always a good mod on the WRX STI which is my background. Very keen to see the results of this test with the full open mouth DP.

I'll leave that to my enginering expert. You are right though he did raise this as a concern. He believes it may be possible. Early days at this stage. Am sitting down with him tomorrow to look at it.

iunno that woulda been the interesting part. welding cast iron isn't such a big deal... turbonetics used to weld elbows on their compressor housings for the 2g dsm trubos.
