BOV decision.

What BOV should I go with? I'm getting an Injen Intake and I figured I'd upgrade my BOV. Or should I keep the stock DV?

Your stock DV is awesome. I don't recommend upgrading items when you don't even know what they do or how good your stock part is. I also don't recommend paying $400 for an Injen intake. That money could be spent on an MBC + Dynoflash to gain 50whp instead of gaining nothing.

I was going to get a tune after the Injen Intake. Which would give me even MORE hp. Since I have a TBE already. And I'm getting an UNOS MBC when I get tuned.

Excellent. Then keep the stock DV and skip the intake. It won't make much more power, if any, in the real world where the hood is down and you're sucking in hot engine air. Use that money towards an AMS LICP.

I second the no intake, and keep that stock BOV, both are very good.

Do get a tune, MBC, LICP, and better turbo outlet(o2 housing)

Dynoflash does all of Buschur's flashes. Dynoflash is the only one that uses TechTom, so his prices are much much lower than anyone else. In fact, the pricing on IXs went down recently, so you only have to pay $199, and that INCLUDES return shipping!

I've heard TechTom is burning up ECUs. Is this true? Or is it just a sales gimmick for the ECUTEK guys.

You've heard from who? The only person doing it on IXs is Dynoflash, and he hasn't burned up any customer ECUs. He had to do a lot of testing to get it figured out, but now it's a cakewalk.

If EcuTek guys are telling you that, it's because they don't want to buy the TechTom software and learn how to use it on IXs, nor do they want the associated risk, since you CAN mess up.

Look how many Dynoflashed IXs are going low 12s with the same mods you have with some in the 11s and one down at 11.5.

Dude, Dynoflash says this on their FAQ.

Q. What intakes can I use with my flash?
A. We can custom tune your car with any intake. We have most intakes available for our Mail-in Flash, those include, AEM, HKS Racing Suction Kit, Buschur, and a couple of more. We have found that the HKS Racing Suction Kit, has an overall 11 WHP gain over the K&N Drop-in filter.

I have the K&N drop-in. So why would an intake be so bad?

That's on a dyno while stationary with the hood up. There's no reason to spend $400 for almost no gain and only to suck in hot engine air with the hood closed while driving. Get it if you really want the shiny pipes so badly.

All right, so is this ECU removal procedure really difficult? I was reading the instructions and I'm not too into "bending" my glove box or w/e.

Not on the IX. I'm not even sure if they use it on the VIII. If so, then they are making huge profit considering their prices...
