Question Down Pipe install quesion

When reinstalling my new downpipe do you tighten the spring loaded screws all the way until they stop? Or do you tighten them all the way and then back the pressure off a turn? I did notice the screw has a small ridge on it, should i just tighten it until it hits that? thanks for the help

yes i do..so basically i will tighten until that small ridge on the bolt comes in contact with the turbo housing to 37lb/ft? Reason im asking such a dumb question is because the springs sound so nasty when im tighening them. Making all kinds of bad noises. I figured its just because im compressing the spring.

Torque it to spec,

Then torque it again after a few heat soaks

Bolts have a lot of friction so spec might not seal, just do not go over or else you may upgrade the O2 housing and gasket as well
