RnR HKS cat back review.

Ok guys, I just had my RNR cat back installed.
It was not good BTW.

After trying to put it on myself with no luck, I had to take it to a muffler shop.
There are two reasons for this.

First, there was too much of an angle on the muffler pipe that connects to the straight pipe.
If you align the two pipes there was no way the system could be installed. The bend from the muffler was to drastic instead of being almost straight it was like a 30 degree angle.
The muffler shop had to bend it to get it work. Which in return I had to pay extra to get it done.

Second, the muffler pipe is hitting the rear lower tie bar. (making a rattle noise even at idle).
I will have adjust this. No big deal.

System sounds good and feels like it gave me a decent gain but my overall experience with only the install has been not so good.

After hours and hours of trying to put it on myself with frustration I had no choice but to take it to a muffler shop.

On a different note, the exhaust sounds really good.
Love the sound.
Not much louder than stock, hence I still have a cat on the car.

I would highly recommend this system to anyone as long as it fits right.

This is for Ryan, can you reimberse me for the extra the muffler shop charged me?

that's too bad...

you should definitely get the muffler off your bumper somehow. You will melt the bumper fast.

My RnR fits perfect on my 8. No rattling or anything like that. If its touching your bumper, you might have to adjust the muffler clamp.

I already talked to you about this, this morning. The exhaust does fit, but you need to adjust the hanger on the rear of the carbon/ti muffler. Also the slip connection in the rear need to be adjusted. Once these are adjusted correctly it does fit correctly as hundreds have confirmed. The rear section on the EVO 9 is the same. If you have any other questions please feel free to give us a call and I am glad the muffler shop could take care of it.

Ryan, before the muffler tech told me about the fitment issues, he was very hesitant to bend the pipes because he didnt want to damage the quality product.

He tried messing with it for about 2 hours to get it fit correctly.
I told him I didnt want to have to send it back. Waste of my time/shipping cost, and possibly Ryan's time.

So I did what sounded reasonable to me.
