Car is slower after AMS catback install ??
First off i must say AMS did a great job with packaging my intercooler and cat-back all in the same box it arrived perfect !! So i decided to put the cat back on just so i could tell how much power i felt one part at a time . The catback is great quality however im not sure how you guys classify 3" exhaust i measured and its only
2 5/8 " inside diameter is this correct ? Also do all your AMS catbacks have a Vibrant muffler on them with tip ?? I did use your extra pipe included cause i have not recieved the AMS tests pipe yet so right now that extra piece is mated to a RNR 3" test pipe you think cause your piece tapers down i have a exhaust leak or high exhaust resriction maybe ? Do you think after replacing the extra piece and RNR test pipe with your test pipe i will feel some power gains ?
BTW i had a stock TBE with just a RNR test pipe before i installed this .

correct me if i'm wrong but the 3inch is supposed to be the outside diameter NOT inside.
as for exhaust leaks you can tell if u see carbon buildup on the pipe near the gasket. put in a new gasket and make sure the bolts are properly tightened. i don't have the AMS exhaust but their quality is top notch.

There are three things that made a HUGE difference on my car. Catback, down-pipe, and lower intercooler piping. Those things alone made a huge difference. The tune was the next huge gain. Remember, I went conservative, and still have over 300whp at the wheels.
EVOIX4ME,
Do you have authentic real tests done to affirm that your car is slow?, you should Dyno the car, take the car to the track and report the boost readings before you can make your claims.
Maybe you have something else faulty. I am not doubting you I am just saying don't rule out anything until your are 100%.

Well after putting on the AMS FMIC and putting new t-bolt clamps the car feels MUCH better , however i thought that the cat back would have made more power than it does. Well im just gonna get the AMS DP and test pipe along with their LICP and i will report back
Like stopandturnfreak said he noticed the most gains with those mods

My perrin TBE is 3" on the inside, I measured all pipes before installing it, and it never gets smaller than that.
