I've got the creaking around my driver side door...right around the b-piller. It started recently too and I have 10600 miles on the car and it only happens when I drive over bumpy roads.

Heres the thing though...I roll down the window and it goes away. It only creaks when the window is up 100% of the way.

I have a feeling its something with the power window mechenism. Maybe it just needs some adjusting.

anyone else with something similar?

Other than that...no major creaks or rattles. But this one is starting to drive me crazy.

LOL, yup, i have that SAME rattle. If you pull on the drivers side door (as if you were closing it) while it's rattling, it seems to go away. Sometimes it sounds like it's coming from the door itself and other times it sounds like it's coming from the b-pillar...???
I'm thinking about taking the door apart this weekend, any others with any advice on this?

I've noticed when the window is pulling up and right when it comes to a complete seal, the entire interior door plastic will tend to what seems like...tighten up also. I can definitely see it move upwards (or inwards) a bit. I dont think its a bad thing as my passenger side does the samething....but no creaking on that side.

I'm almost tempted to remove the door plastic myself.

I've tried pressing on the windows inside and out...doesn't seem to do anything.

I'll try pulling on the door today and see if it helps any.

Maybe pulling it apart and spraying some lube inside will do the trick?

I noticed (driving today) that pulling on the door makes the sound go away a little bit. But if I really put my ear to the side of the car as i'm driving, it sounds like it's coming from the b-pillar. It may be something that needs lubrication on the seatbelt fastener...

I've got 6,000 mi and I have the annoying driver's window/pillar rattle. I find myself punching the window when I have the air on because the sound is so annoying. I will probably be taking my car in this week for the recall and I will mention something to the guys up there. It almost seems as though the window might be a bit loose. I have had this problem on a few of my other cars.

I also thought I had a driver side window pillar rattle/creak. I told the service department about this and they replaced my entire driver side interior door panel. Car is absolutely quiet now.

I ended up fixing the creaking noise around the b-pillar on mine.
I took a bottle of WD40 with the red straw and sprayed inside the door through the edge where there was a little opening on the outside of the window near the pillar.

took it for a ride and its totally gone now.

My mind is at ease again...

I have the noise too coming from the left front door panel or door frame area. Just started at 3400 miles. If I push outward on back top corner of window while driving it goes away. Tried old BMW trick of adding candle wax to weatherstriping and that did not fix it. Tried tweaking the top back of the window frame but that did not fix it.

Anyone who has this fixed (by dealership or by themselves) please let us know how it was done. Sounds like it is a problem on lots of cars.

BTW mine had the right dash/wsld. area noise from the time I drove it out of the dealership but it slowly went away. I think it was caused by the black plastic weatherstrip at the right base of the windshield. Sounds like others have also had this noise disappear with time.
