BG I vrs BG II syncroshift review!

well here is my story first of i ordered BGI i putted in my car and yes it was much smoother then stock tranny oil but in the morning when cold it was hard to shift and slighty notchy when warm so i had this oil in my car for 1000miles then i decided to go with BGII which is synthetic and wow what a difference its much more smoother know then before also the notchy feeling has almost gone away is not that noticible anymore and when cold it still feels notchy in 2nd gear but not that much as before which i had to drive the car like 10min or so for it to get smooth, hope this helps out the people that have a notchy tranny change it to a synthetic oil and you will fill the difference

They say you should change BG every 5000 miles, is this still true with BG II, since its synthetic, maybe you can leave it in longer. It would make sense to use synthetic anyways!

I have royal purple in mine and it is like shifting thru pudding when it is cold. Once it warms up is is nice. I might have to try the BGII.

I have had BG II in for about 500 miles....I havent noticed a difference at all from the Penzoil. If it lasts 10k miles It will be worth the price though. My Penzoil was done in 3k.

LOL...did you forget to quote me on that "pudding" comment? I used those exact words about two weeks ago when describing Royal Purple gear lube.

I used BG for 15K and it was great...went to RP and it sucked...now using BGII and it's the best I've had yet. BTW, I change all my gear and trans fluids every 15K...no matter what.

It was a stealth quote.

I read it when you posted and it is the perfect description of how it feels. I was just too lazy to go and find your quote. I would tell people that it felt like thick line mud. But pudding it the best.

I've used BGI for many many years in my DSM. I probably change it every 50k miles- mostly easy highway miles. After 50k it still shifts, looks and smells like it did initially. No way you need to change it every 5k miles unless you're constantly grinding your synchros. I have not used the BGII but it sounds even better.
