Should I downgrade from my HKS EVC 5 to a Hallman MBC???

I have a buddy selling his car in a few weeks. I was wondering what you guys thought about me selling my HKS EVC 5, EBC and replacing it with a simpler Hallman MBC??

Your thoughts appreciated...

Keep your EBC and try the Hallman. If you like it better, then sell the EBC. Otherwise, sell the Hallman.

what type of engine management are you going to use to control your new 50 trim? How many maps do you want to run? pump gas, race gas, alky, etc.? It sure would be nice to change boost with a simple keystroke, or push of a button with an EBC or standalone, vs. trial and error with the MBC and piggy back.
It all depends on your setup, what is it?

Yea i'd say stick with the EBC. MBCs are simple, thats about all they have over EBCs. I dont believe they're any more reliable. Not to mention, if your running a standalone ecu with an EBC you can just set fuel cut above a certain boost so if the solenoid were ever to fail it wouldn't overboost.

Some tuners dislike the EBC and prefer manual ones??

If I was a tuner I would like mbc more as well because at the dyno its nicer to have simplier items because it helps narrow down the possible problems and its also tough for tuners to be able to use the wide variety of ebcs out there...
