no body NEEDS a tt. but so you dont have to sit there for a few min id get one. i have a hks type 1. i love it. i here the type 0 is nice to. id stay away from greddy tt's. i here a few bad things about them. just my 02

i time mine for 4 minutes. maby it is too long but id rather know it is long enoff then not enoff.

Our turbos are water-cooled, so there is no need for a tt. You could come to a stop and shut off your engine and be fine. If you're tracking it, then I'd let it idle for a couple of minutes just to be safe.

I agree, you don't need a turbo timer, definately you can wait but the turbo timer will give you the comfort of not having to wait plus it also gives you many other funtions such as Voltmeter,A/F reading etc...

Time attack! Sorry, I'm just going to be playing with that feature when I return home. Have yet to do it, and I'm a little excited.

I had the apex'i TT on my car and took it off b/c it was useless. Don't get me wrong, it worked fine and was easy to use, but the evo just doesnt need one for daily driving.

Now if your road racing, autocrossing, or running the car hard, then yeah, fine, let it cool down. But you dont need to spend a hundred on a TT for that either.

Plus, I like to leave my car in gear when I park.
