Axles giving me a hard time

I am trying to get the axles out to remove the t-case. I have the hubs disconnected and the axle is just hanging in the air. I tried to prybar method with the hammer as described in the maint man. They just dont seem to want to budge. Any tips or tricks or should I just pry harder?

Isn't there "clips" in there to remove first?

I thought that those were only on the input shaft on the drivers side.

someone has to hold the axle straight as your doing it with the prybar. also have that other person SLIGHTLY yank on that axle as you are prying it with the pry bar.
another method is use the dent puller that you will use for the inside shafts. wrap the chain around the axle end and also have someone hold the axle straight.
key is having the axle straight.

thanks. I had my girl holding the axle but she was kinda scared about doing it. Just have to get one of my buddies from work to help. Thanks again for the tip.

I may have to run out and get a bigger one. I think that is part of my problem. I just wanted to make sure my procedure was right.
