Is it just me or..........(long)

Just another person here looking for an opinion about a boost issue. Could the simple lack of a wire tie on the connection between a hose a t-fitting cause a boost leak? I'll explain as best I can. For a couple weeks now I have been on this kick about my car not pulling quite as hard as it should. One part of me says maybe you have a boost leak, the other says you are just so used to the feel of driving the car. Well I push the car a little harder today to find out. I did a 4th gear pull from 40 to 80 and the boost held strong at 19. Never spiked higher. So when I get home I pop the hood and see that the line that runs from the t-fitting to the hallman mbc has no wire tie on it like the rest. About 3-4 weeks ago I ran new all hoses. So I do it up with a tie. Just for fun I decide to see if the old hallman is working right. I turn it down 2 full turns from where I have had it set. I close the hood and go do some pulls. Yup the boost is down at like 15 or so. Ok seems to be adjusting the boost fine. So I turn it back up the 2 full turn I turned it down previously. Do some pulls in 4th again and the boost is now 21-22 spiking a little higher, at what I am sure was the same setting on the mbc when I was only hitting 19 just before putting on that little wire tie. I hit fuel cut off a couple of times and the SES light came on. Could the simple lack of a wire tie on that hose caused this? I touched nothing else under the hood.

Probably not. I would venture that you reset the Hallman to a different place after the test session. If I were you I'd try a pressure test on the turbo system and if it passes it's probably in your head.

The boost leak test will provide you with almost all of your answers you seek.

That is what I was leaning towards. I think I miscounted the turns when I put it back up.
