Hi, I just replaced my muffler with a Works AB, and now I have some popping noises when engine breaking, and if I take my foot off the throttle and let it drop to idle it pops when going through 1500 rpm until it hits idle. Is this normal? It sounds like popcorn popping. I only hear it through the tailpipe, not coming up through the intake. It is not extremely loud and not too obtrusive when in the car, I did not even notice it until my friend pointed it out when he was standing on the sidewalk and I went by.

Mine does that too. I also get some loud pops between the 1st-2nd and 2n-3rd gear changes when I am getting on it. It is normal.

It's just unburnt gas 'popping' in your tail pipe. Nothing to worry about
