Idle
Idle
Hey guys,
My idle has been doing this forever, but I just want to know if its normal and/or how you can fix it. It has subtle pops when idling. I had just got my exhaust, and since the exhaust note is noticeably louder and deeper, so are the pops. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Hey guys,
I recorded my idle so you guys can hear it.

(Once the YouTube one is approved I will put it up on here as well)
I've noticed that you cant really hear the popping noise on my laptop, so I'm thinking its best to listen to this video with a stereo speaker system than a mono speaker system.
The beginning of the video is where most of the popping is at. At about 0:39-0:37 on the Photobucket link (0:11-:13 on YouTube), you can hear the bass of the popping, one after the other. After that they're not to close together. Towards the end of the movie, fan goes on so you cant hear the popping anymore. I have an Agency Power exhaust by the way, thats why the exhaust note is different.
Your guys' input is greatly appreciated.

I would like to say the popping noise while in idle mode is normal, but mine doesn't pop as much when on idle though. Mine has a strong "Evo burble" in idle. The only time I here popping is when I rev my engine while on idle, or when I accelerate in first gear and then slow down in first gear. Maybe your idle is set higher than normal, but that's still perfectly OK and there's no problem with the higher idle. Sorry, I don't mean to confuse everyone...this is just my take.
