Another cracked manifold
#1
Been running like this the whole time!!
Today i was checking the oil in the car like always, and i happen to look around the manifold, and i happened to see that i have a missing bolt from the manifold to the hotside, i have a leak and ive been running like this for a while i guess. I still ran 12.501@110 with a leak! I need to get a new bolt, i will be fixing this tomorrow.
Question is, how much power and tq would i have been loosing bc of the leak???

Still leaking!! WTf!
As i posted in a previous thread, i had discovered that one of the bolts from the hotside to the manifold(megan) was missing so i had a leak. Well i got a new bolt and tightened everything back and i still can feel pressure coming out from the side.. I mean its not a big leak or anything, you cant even hear it when i rev it or at wot.. Car hold boost all the way to redline like always and pulls good.. Theres no signs of carbon or black around the leak which is good.. My question is, since its a small leak, is this affecting my power??? Im guessing the gasket is leaking since thats where its coming from.. WHat do you guys think?

I'd remove all the bolts and re-torque them back down. You may try using a high temp thread sealant. It can be found at most auto parts stores and is a white liquid in a tube that hardens and is used to stop bolts from vibrating loose. (It hardens yet crumbles into dust when force is later applied so it's still easy to remove your bolts with a wrench or socket) Exhaust leaks tend to worsen fairly quickly. A new gasket isn't very much money.
