03 evo worth it for an LSD?

Is it worth it for a LSD on an 03 for drag and limited track use... front or rear more essential?I am guessing rear and cusco is the only one I have found for 2800 bucks...anuy other options for better traction in :"severe situations"

definitely go with the front since the oem rear is limited slip.. quaife is your best option

If its just for drag, the spider gears in the stock front diff are the weakest link and you wont find anything stronger than a quaife

Quaife is the way to go but if your short on cash, you could look into the TRE forged spider gear upgrade.

The front limited slip improves overall traction up front, keeping the nose of the car pointed where you have the steering wheel aimed. This is noticeable while autocrossing in the parking lot or at the bleeding limits of traction at high speeds.

Definately worth it! The weak link in the 03/04 is the open front diff. Adding the FLSD will definately improve the reliability (especially during hard launches) as well as improve high performance driving.

Although I don't have the Quaife I have the Mitsu unit installed. I like it a lot so far. Keeps the car a lot more stable around turns. Once everything is broke-in I am handing my keys over to a far better driver than myself and see his impression of the set-up.

Quaife $1500
Ralliart $950

Unless you are putting down some big time power you can use the Ralliart and use the money you save for the install.

Mine works great. Huge difference in AutoX.

If you have the money go with the Quaife unit. I have installed these and they are awesome. You can't beat the lifetime warranty either. They say you can take it right to the race track after installing it, if it breaks, you will get a replacement. That has got to say something. Good luck.
