Which cams

I am kinda new to the whole cam adventure and couldn't find anything in a search. What are the advantages or disadvantages, or why would you use hks 264 versus 272 versus 280 cams. I am pretty sure that I am going to go with hks that is why I am asking about their cams specifically. thanks for the help

It really depends what are u looking for, if you want just top end and you don't care if the idle is going to really lopey than go with 280s. If you want to be more like stock with extra HP get 264s. Before any decision you need to decided whats ur goal and purpose with car.

generally, the more duration the cams have the power curve will be pushed futher towards the redline. Allowing more air into the combustion chamber at higher rpms. More lift allows more air in during lower rpms. This is a very basic explaination on cam dynamics.

That there is the kind ofinfo I was looking for. So a cam with a 280 duration will have more top end powere and a cam with264 will have more mid/low end power correct?
