Count me in. I definitely want one. Just let me know when they are ready and what the cost will be. I'll trust that you will make it a fair price based on time and materials.

Thanks,

If you can find any information on Field, I'd be grateful.. I have not been able to find anything, however I am more than willing to contact them if someone can supply me with the information.. and possibly arrange to import the stuff if they need a distributor. I have had NO Luck finding anything for them though.. Right now I have a Belgian manufacturer, and a Australian manufacturer that I'm trying to work with.

Alright Malibu, If I give you this info you have to promise to hook me up when you get these made. The Field Harness is made by Skunk2 racing and can be found here.

Don't forget about me now.

Don't worry..

Thanks for the skunk info.. I'm going to give them a call and see if they will reveal their importer for those harnesses.. At least I know there is enough demand out there.. I do need to confirm that the 2g and 3g eclipses use similar wiring harnesses.. since it would expand the market a bit and make it more cost effective to get a large bulk made up.

Oh, and no reply from the aussie manufacturer, but I have a USA manufacturer on queue.. but he needs a source for the connectors which I would like to find domestically, or OEM..

I tried doing this a while ago with my Stealth. The connectors are all made by AMP. The problem is, you usually have to order them in quantities of 50....for each plug. You're talking about several thousand dollars in connectors for the initial batch, and that doesn't even cover building the things. I have all the AMP part numbers if anyone wants to take this farther than I ever did.

Yah, send me the part numbers.. I'm working with a company that actually uses these connectors, so It makes it easier to justify the bulk purchase. I'm also going to research a bit of interchange since more volume means more production, more production means lower price.

***ANYWAY***

Anyone interested in a harness, please PM me here.. I'm going to keep a list that way until I get some production information. I am having a prototype and pre-production harness fabbed up ASAP, not sure how long that will take, and then I'll probably have about 10 made up to test the market after I figure out costs... Depending on the bulk hardware (the labor and wiring is fairly cheap) It looks like it may end up costing $100-$150 with most of that cost being the connectors. This will vary a bit if I have to manufacture offshore..

Gatecrasher.. PM Me the AMP part #'s

Truth is, if I can justify an initial bulk purchase, then I have no problem laying out the money for the parts.
