SAFC Harness for the Evo??

I had a VAFC on my Prelude and I didn't have to hack into the car's wires. I bought a harness from Field and was able to hack into that. I believe these harnesses are Honda specific, but I was wondering if there is something like it for the Evo. I would rather spend the extra money and not have to touch the factory harness.

Here is a picture of what I used for my Prelude below.

I'm not too sure if one exists, but try to find one from a second Generation Eclipse.. as long as all the pins are wired, and its wired straight through.. it should work as the connectors appear to be exactly the same (even most of the pin functions on the ECU appear to be the same)

I realized last night what a great idea that is.. a short "Throwaway" harness to do wire in this stuff lets you pull the harness out if you need to perform warranty repairs..

***ANYWAY***

If nobody can show me a 2G Eclipse, or EVO harness, I already contacted a company who can create the harnesses for me if I can provide the correct connectors.. I will make them available, however does anyone have a wiring diagram (with wire color codes) for the EVO's ECU Harness? I need it to get the wire colors correct.

I'm going to install my S-AFC here soon. I would like to utilize this setup and not touch the factory harness, great idea by the way. WIll you be having these available for purchase? Do let me know I would definitely like to purchase one.

RoadRace has a diagram of the evo 8 pinouts on their website:

Don't know about the wire color though.

I saw the roadrace diagram.. Its a great source of info, I used it several times already.. Only one problem.. Doesnt indicate the wiring colors which would be helpful in creating "Easy to identify" wiring harnesses so you can follow instructions provided by vendors as if it wasn't there. Now, I definitely plan on making up a batch of 40 harnesses, and will sell them, I do not know how much it will cost yet, and I would also like to get an idea on what you guys are willing to spend for the convenience... Don't worry, I'm doing this as a service for all of us, not to price gouge..

50 bucks shipped. I think that should cover R&D, parts supplies, and custom work. Ya think?

I'll find out in a day or two.. Only found one company that has those connectors so far.. But I'm working on contacting Mitsubishi's automotive parts (Electronics) division.. The first price I got was $50 for the header alone!! (female portion) Hoping It will be alot cheaper from an OEM and in bulk..

I'll pay for the harness since I would like to keep my car "factory" for warranty repairs just in case.

The manufacturer of the connectors has not returned my call or e-mail yet.. Still waiting.. I'll know something soon, but I'm getting impatient to install my S-AFC.. ack!

Oh, and once I know all the details, I'm making up 1 or 2 prototypes.. Then I'll have a batch of 10 made up when I know it works good and the quality is ok.
