remove mivec?

remove mivec?

has anyone removed the mivec off the intake gear? To me mivec is pointless.

I don't know why they would put something "pointless" on your car! I think 4 cylinders is "pointless", so pull a plug wire also!! I don't know how those work (MIVEC) so I can't help out.

shouldnt have gotten a IX then, trade down for an VIII if u dont want the MIVEC, but there are a bunch of people here to tell u MIVEC is very beneficial.

im gonna do a test then run the 1/4 with the mivec and a run without and see what happens unlees someone that knows more about it says different

One of the reason you run 12.74 @ 105.82 is the mivec.

doens;t that mivec kick in at the same time as the turbo fully sppols? or sumtin like that? all i know is the mivec 4g63 has more hp than the non mivec

I thought the Mivec kicks in at later RPM, like a Vtec does. but then again, I don't have one, but heard and drove in a Ralliart with the Mivec, and it seems to "kick in" at higher rpm.

i just put and exh cam in and now run a 12.5 but its untuned. and that was on 91oct. but still i am gonnna have to read on the mivec i guess.

ok i read about it lol i didnt know there was a high speed part that it still worked. so looks like its not coming off. i dont feel anything ever kick in though like the vtec.
