Does anyone know if the HKS R-Type really needs to bolt up to the HKS USDM Upper IC Pipe?

Reason I ask is because i'm really looking at the Nisei IC Piping for use with an HKS R-Type Intercooler. I realize the Nisei IC piping is compatible with the stock intercooler, but I don't know if the HKS Intercooler is compatible with the stock piping..

Any feedback would be appreciated.

 

i honestly can't be of any help because all of the r types i've seen installed had the kansai pipes too :[ sorry.

 

dont waste your money w/ hks junk go ams, sbr, or buschur

 

are you stupid? that's not what he asked... for all you know he already has the rtype intercooler. he wants to know if he can get pipes to mate up with it... and as far as you know neither the ams sbr or br pipes bolt up to the hks intercooler. be helpful, not... whatever you were being.
