WHP on a 20G

A friend is planning to buy a TD05 20G for his EVO V RS. Setup will be,
Trust FMIC
Walbro fuel pump
720 cc's denso inyectors
280 Crower Cams
HKS adjustable cam gears
Xs power manifold
HKS intake
3" TBE
O2 housing
Alky inyection
and of course the 20g. What can we expect from this setup?? Is anyone with something similar? The idea is to get at least 350 WHP on pump gas and what ever it can on race gas.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Go with the buschur 20g-9. You'll find some great threads on here about it.

That doesn't clarify which one it is. There is a 20g-9-5 (5-blade) and 20g-9-6 (6-blade), and only one is good. My guess is that one is a 6-blade, in which case the power numbers wouldn't be worth the price or the trouble to upgrade. If it were a 5-blade, then it would likely make your 350whp on pump and over 400whp on alky.

That is not the same 20G-9-5 we are selling. That is the 6 bladed "hot" wheel turbo.

Making 350 whp on a dyno jet with pump gas/alky on OUR 20g-9-5 turbo would not be a problem with that parts combination and a good tune.

I can make 350 whp (dynojet) on pump with the stock 05' turbo. 20G either 5 or 6 blade will do it with ease.

Should be very close to 350whp on our dyno with the Alki. We're actually tuning one out today with a very similar setup, I'll post the dyno graphs.

Thanks,

Gary

Yes, but you don't have to purchase and install the 6-blade to do it. Since there would be little to no gains, it wouldn't be worth it (6-blade only).

You wouldn't "have to purchase and install" the 5 blade either to make 350 whp (dynojet). Also, Buschurs own testing on the 6 blade pre Turbochargers.com fall out showed gains over the stock turbo.

Minimal gains, and usually less power at the same boost level. The 6 has to be pushed really hard to make any extra power, meaning it is less efficient than even a stocker.

My point is that if he wants to upgrade and actually make his money's worth of extra power, he should get the 5-blade. If he just wanted 350whp, then he would stay stock.

The turbo is $1350 brand new, with the 10.5 housing, new wastegate actuator and no core required.
