Test Pipe Thread

Guys

I found the Downpipe Thread to be pretty informative when I was shopping for my downpipe.

When I got my car it came with a vibrant cat-back that bolted up to the stock cat section. Shortly after acquiring the car, I put a Megan TBE setup on it. After discovering that system pretty much sucks (hardly any of the hangars fit up, and theres an oddly placed flange that bangs against the drive shaft at random times) I took it off and sold it.

Anyways. I reinstalled the vibrant cat-back setup. Just recently got back in the market to finish out my exhaust. I purchased a helix o2 housing, and a perrin 3" downpipe (used) from a few members on here. Now I am beginning my search for the test pipe section.

We do not have emission testings in Central, IL so I'm looking to go with a cat-less section. I do not mind the sound either, I am not looking for a quiet exhaust by any means.

With all that said, what options are there for downpipes that bolt up to the stock cat section. I have not done too much research on test pipes, but I have a little background knowledge in knowing that the AMS test pipe doesnt bolt up, nor will the Buschur setup.

What options will work?

I have the ultimate racing test pipe $75 and it comes with a cel fix.

It is by far the cheapest and I have never had my cel come

I have a rmr 3" downpipe and rmr 3" exhaust and everything fit perfact

I wasnt aware of the mechanical Cel fixes at the time of my Megan TBE era, so I purchased a Perrin o2 simulator. Is yours a mechanical fix?

No The ur pipe comes with a bung welded to the side for the o2. Its enough for the o2 to read but not enough air to through the sensor off
Your perrin fix will work though

keep it all perrin. it will all bolt up and sound great. the test pipe from perrin also comes with the cel fix when purchased.

I have the Logic Performance resonated test pipe. Fit right up, has a bung for a wideband. $5 will get you the mechanical o2 fix (18mm spark plug anti fouler made by HELP). You can get it at Autozone in the HELP section. All together it was $85.

Perrin cat delete pipe with o2 simulator. No problems! It did make the exhaust louder at higher rpms. But I didn't really care about that.
