Car wont IDLE HELP!

Ok so my car was REALLY low on gas. So low that it started to sputter in traffic this morn. So I park it and walk a few blocks to the gas station. 1st mistake. i went to Getty gas station to get fuel.

Bought a gallon of fuel and put it into a gas container and took it back to the car.
Now the car wont even idle. One part throttle it gets really lean like 17-18. a/f but when i get on the freeway it goes back to 12.0. Since im tuning it myself it normally stays around 14-15 on the freeway. I logged the car and got like 1count of knock around 2000-2300 rpms. I put in 3gallons of sunoco gas thinking that it would fix it. But it didnt fix it. Do yall think i got bad gas?? I made sure I got 93oct.(Well thought it was)

octane wont matter much for idle. unless its way way low.

You probably sucked in dirt in fuel filter, open it up and make sure its all clean. (little filter element at least).

Its def not octane/ Drained fuel. Ill check the fuel filter and see if thats it. Anyone else ever have this problem?

MAF is fine.
Injectors are fine.
Fuel Pump still makes its normal sound.
ECU still works (or car wont start.

You could always disconnect your neg bat cable for a bit and see if that works.

Will that mkae the car barely run and then cut off @ idle? As soon as I take my foot off the gas the car shuts off like if I turned the ignition off.

Air in fuel line, maybe gas cap is not tight Iam sure you checked it. Take a long drive with a full tank of gas,20 miles just cruisng on a highway. Also check your plugs (iam sure you did).

I'm having the same issue bro. I couldn't rip my car apart due to work but my mechanic has it and is going to check the FP, Cap, Lines, MAF, Plugs and then do a compression check if none of those are the cause.

My car will normally idle badly if the gas cap is open. I will check the fuel filter and see if its clogged. It has 87,000 miles on it so I think its time to be changed. Ill also check plugs even though i dont think its them.

Everything was the same. Im not sure why it would just cuts off when I get off the gas. Im really hoping that the fuel filter is full or really dirty.
