Stock is the best bang for the buck for ic piping. FMIC isnt much use on the stock turbo unless running alky and big boost daily or if you road race.

BTW, what is a Forge XS?

Yes Clayton, and even running at high boost and alky wouldn't even guaranty you the sucess and the performance. I put a "x" intercooler from a "x" vendor and never improved my trap speed or times at the 1/4 mile. Neither my total whp on the dyno was significantly improved.

I found the stock intercooler to be a great piece for a stock turbo, fast spool up, light weight..

So, you're saying that the HKS lower and upper IC piping is the best bang for the buck? Care to clarify the power per dollar on that?

Depends on how good of a shopper you are. Good deals are out there. Pound for pound HKS is better then a low ball product.

Eh? That's not very convincing. What makes the HKS IC pipes better other than namebrand? In fact, I've never even heard of them making an LICP, nor have I seen anyone list it as a mod. Not sure if you're referring to AMS and BR as lowball products, but those are two of the most preferred IC pipe combos...as well as Nisei. I'd like to see an hp/$ comparison that shows the HKS being the best bang for the buck, since that was the original question.

Doesn't the HKS have fitment problems?

From what I have read Buschur is the way to go as far as bang for the buck, I'm going to order the pipes from Buschur soon for my IX.

There is a need, because you can't just say what you like. You need to justify why you think it's the best bang for the buck, else the reply is useless. Where is the HKS LICP, and how much does it cost? I've never seen it anywhere.
