SpeedElement/Full-Race GT30R DYNO 91 OCTANE

In efforts to find a better road course turbo, I switched out our 35R for our custom GT30R.

Specs-
FullRace GT manifold
44mm Tial Wastegate
Tial BOV
Speed Element Custom Full 3 inch non cheated radius downpipe
SPeed Element 2.5" aluminum charge piping with beaded ends
Speed Element Turbo back exhaust
Speed Element Spec GT30R
Speed Element Custom intake

Supertech valvetrain
Cosworth headstuds
Cosworth M2 Camshafts
Speed Element 5 bolt cam gears
Hallman manual boost control
Waboro 255 fuel pump

HKS DLI
PTE injectors (of unknown flow)
Undisclosed efi system

Stock Block, Stock head, Stock Tranny, Stock clutch
91 cali octane

Here is the original GT35R dynograph. The custom 30R spools about 500 rpm sooner and made 21 more peak torque, while sacrificing 13.4 whp.

But what the dyno doesn't show is how the 30R has much better transient response, and partial throttle characteristics ideal for road course.

The car is no longer the low end tq monster it was with basic upgrades, but now the car has plenty of top end and acceptable around town driving characteristics.

While the comparison was done on two different dyno, I have tested them back to back with my BPU setup and the difference was about 5 whp. Runs where done during a heat wave temps reaching 102 degrees ambient.

Boost was only 23 psi, and as you can see from the dyno details sheet ran a conservative afr. there is a hiccup on the dynosheet, but decided not to clean up that area in ignition timing due to the extreme weather. I believe this turbo should be good for 370+ whp on 91 pump on a more aggressive tune.

Typically most 30Rs put out about 320-330~ whp on a Mustang or DD on 91 octane in Cali.

That's a laggy 30r. It makes good power though.

if someone buys my GT35R used for less than 1000 miles, i'll also do a test with the 50 trim bb turbo.
