i just picked up the car today, i had my HKS 272sm fidanza cam gears and walboro fuel pump installed, what would be the next best thing. and like something i can do right now lol. im getting erges and want to see the real beast. im going to al from dynoflash on saturday when he comes down to get a flash. i also right now have in an S-AFC 2. im thinking of trying to tweak that up abit. any other ideas. im fiending to see whats up here.

 

Ditch the intake, unless you've already been tuned for that.

Get an MR DV.

Delete the cat, unless you have and don't have it listed.

 

you could: Port your exhaust manifold/Hotside/o2 housing (or ebay o2 housing). Bigger I/C, lower I/C pipe, Alchy injection or race gas tune. Thats about it until its bigger turbo time

 

the current mods arent coming off, my question is, what can i do as of right now meaning this moment. i really wanna feel the power. im currently untuned until saturday. so im trying to figure out if i should mess with this AFC i have installed or just wait for al to come down saturday.

 

If Al is going to dynotune your car, then I would wait. No point in messing with the AFC since you don't have a wideband to tune with anyway!

i guess thats all i can do at this time, even though im dieing to see how it feels with these cams in it and after a lil bit of messing with that AFC. probably better to let one of the professionals take care of that rather then messing anything up.

 

get valve springs and retainers...i just installed the HKS 272/264 cams and HKS cam gears and with the springs and retainers my rev limit is 8100..with those mods my cars feel unreal

Dude just wait till saturday. Dont start to mess with the afc if you dont know how to tune cams with it. Al will hook you up with a great tune, and loads of extra power. Always remember that good things come to those who wait.

 

yup, wait for AL. dont run the risk of loosing your investment because you tuned the SAFCII toooo lean. just wait....also, IF you have some extra $$ get some race gas and get it tuned for that on the SECOND map using the SAFCII. its like having TWO flashes!!!!hahahah!! wooowhooooooo!!! i wish i could do that....

 

well i just put about half a tank of 93 oct in, and i toke it around some nice long streches, even with out the flash and untuned. i might be crazy but about 5 thousand rpm i do feel a difference. as much as i felt a difference i started getting that scared feeling that i used to have when i first got the car. BOY AM I LOVING THOSE CAMS!!!! anyways yea you guys are right i'll wait till al gets here on saturday. then it will be time for business. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! dont mind me guys im just happy today.

 

Why not just buy the Tactrix cable, download ECUFlash and EVOScan and tune it yourself. If you have the capability to understand everything you can easily get your car running well and safely. You can log everything and even post it in the forums and people will give you input.

Otherwise, I would wait till Mark and Paul at TurboTrix come back to florida. If you have read around, you will see that Al has had some pretty rough times here recently.

 

yea, so i've heard of Al's few mishaps, with clutches burning out and what not. im going to give him a try. i mean all i am getting is a basic flash. so i'll see whats up

 

don't know of any problems with clutches...just poor maps.

Most problems are complaints of high knock counts causing pulled timing, creating lower power.

thanks alot bud, i just cant wait to get this thing tuned. im craving the power now. its like a drug, you want it and you want it badly. lol also with the flashes from dynoflash. i have a friend who has one on his 9, he swears on it and he's getting his car reflashed again. so i mean maybe there has been a few freak occurences but like i said let me give it a shot.
