You should talk to a service manager at this location and tell them that they are in violation of a federal act. The act is known as the Magnusson-Moss Act under federal USC Code. Do a google search and print this federal act out so you can take it to the dealer and let them know they cannot void your warranty. The only way that can deny a claim is if the particular part caused the damage or fault. After they determine that they have to put it in writing, ask them for a copy of the letter. I went through that, but very briefly until I told them about this act. Now they don't just jump the gun and say "claim denied" after they give me a copy of said letter I take it to another Mitsu dealer to get a second opinion. I have told this particular dealer this and have threatened suit if they deny my claim and another Mitsu dealer honors it. I have not had anymore problems with this particular dealer after 1) showing them the Magnusson-Moss act 2) told them I take it to another Mitsu dealer 3) threatened to sue them if they violate this act knowing that it does exist 4) Threaten to call Mitsu in US to report them for bad practice. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't in different states.... Good luck! BTW I am not a lawyer, but I am LE and have friends who are lawyers and owe favors.
