Throw out bearing stuff?
Throw out bearing stuff?
I recently pulled my tranny and engine to build a new short block. In the process of getting the throw out bearing released I mangled up the pieces around the throw out bearing pretty good. Is the metal piece with all the fingers that goes in to the pressure plate included with a throwout bearing, along with the 2 wavy springs? Or can i get them seperate?
Thaks for any info.
One more thing, anyone know what their called, or OE part numbers? So I can call the dealer and order replacemens. Also i still have the snap ring. I just didn't distroy that piece

also if the sale falls through, call them, give them your vin, and they can pull up exactly what you need, or just go in to the parts place, they can pull up the manual and you can show them exactly what you want....
No one knew the parts number. I snapped my snap ring in my Evo at the track. Took it off my stock one, contact Matt Gold he has them but doesn't give out the part number I don't think.
Least yours didn't break in the car, I only had one washer from Cusco, but the stocker had two.
Sorry about pics, camera did not adjust to lighting.

luckily OkevolutionVIII was willing to sell me his. From reading the mistu parts number thread it appears that you can not buy just those pieces with out the Pressure plate.
i also called ACT this morning to see if they would sell them to me. I was told since Mitsu hold the patent for the parts they can only sell them with pressure plates.
Future advice for myself and everyone else. DON'T BREAK THEM.
And Neisop; thats sucks, breaking on the car would be even worse. Did you have to fight it to release the TO bearing or did it do that when it broke?
