Tough time shifting..... help

It seems that the higher the rpm, the tougher it is to throw in gear fast. Most of the time I really have to give it a good push. What is wrong with my car?

get a counter-weight shift knob and make sure your car is warmed up

It feels like the bushings though. I don't see how a knob will fix this. Trust me the car is warmed up.

adjust your clutch, to make the pedal height higher which will push the disk furthur away from the flywheel and pressure plate.

I made it higher which made it feel much stiffer and grab better, but I am still feeling it very tough to get it in gear. I really have to give it a nice push. I am waiting on my bushings and stainless steel clutch line. What else could it be. I don't know what is on this car. I just bought it a week ago so I don't know if it has a new clutch or not. It's a 2005 with 19k miles on it.

I would change your transmission fluid. When is the last time it was changed? Switching to a nice fluid like BG, or even Penzoil will make a great difference in shifting.

Motor mount and engine dampener will help high rev shifting
