Luckily the car i needed to pass was going **** slow anyway, so I let off the throttle right away, threw her in neutral, and coasted down the off ramp to work. Car was idling fine the entire time. I don't understand what it was. Any ideas?

Maybe she just had to fart?

I do have a Reflashed ECU along with usual bolt ons. MR DV as well... if that matters.
Almost sounds like the P0300, it used to happen to me at those exact speeds and simply downshifting or putting the car in neutral remedied it for me. GL.

Dunno, I had the plastic BOV but it seemed to have more to do with the spring which I would assume is the same between them. When I first took it out of the car it was really hot and I could press the spring in with 1 finger. After it was totally cool I couldn't press it without shoving with some force with a blunt tool. I discovered this by accident when trying to guesstimate how strong to set up my BOV, as in which springs and such. I was like "wow this is really light, I'll just go with the smallest spring"...after some fiddling with the new BOV to take out the larger spring, I went to compare the two, and the stock BOV gained like 10X strength lol.

As always YMMV, good luck.

Search under p0300 and grab your self a bucket of pop corn. There have been multiple theories on what causes it, some say harmonics and vibration cause it......

I had it and for the life of me could not travel down the highway in a "civil" manner w/out the code popping up. It would never do it if I was pushing the car, but when ever I had my wife in the car and had to keep it cool, it always popped up at around 70mph, (cruising). The car would feel like it;s falling on its face and after I got it out of gear and popped it back in, it was fine. They say it does not affest performance, but it is damn annotying to have it pop up all the time.

I was lucky and after I got my car flashed at AMS, it never came back. Granted it may have not been the flash that cured it, but i'm not complaining one bit.

haha , lucky bastard. Yea.. that sounds like my issue. maybe i need to get under her AGAIN. and see if theres anything i can do about my exhaust possibly touching. maybe thats the real thing causing it. i wouldnt be too surprised i suppose if thats it. but wow... amazing it took this long to come about.

And yes... it is VERY annoying to have it happen. I guess thats what i get for tryin to save gas and go 70. lol

Thanks for the help. Any other suggestions would be appreciated too yall

I havev a CEL on account of the TEST pipe in the car. Would this be causing a misfire? so many people say this doesnt affect anything.... but i suppose each car could be a little different. Also.... would it take it this long to make car act the way it is now? I've had this setup for sometime now..... but hey, if it is, what it is, i gotta take care of it right?

P0300.

Whoever did your flash should be able to fix it. It was a problem with the original Mitsu program in the '03's. I had the same exact problem. Supposedly the dealer can fix it without trashing your flash, but I'm not sure.

I recently developed this problem as well, never had it before, drove modded for 1 year or so and now on the highway at 7-7.5K I get it during the transition from vac to boost. I have noticed it runs lean as a **** during this period (17 to 1) so that makes me unhappy. I have a 1g BOV with the stop leak kit on it. My personal theory is a bad FPR... have a new one ordered, until then we shall see.

I forgot to mention my P0300 pops up when this happens as wel, mine is an 04

I am a P0300 vetran and I got the dealer flash which has worked so far. It did get rid of my flash but I have a UTEC now so I am not too worried about it. The only thing is I would like to get rid of the overboost code and the speed governer.

Anyway, go in and get the dealer flash for the p0300 or get flashed by a vendor with the updated Mitsu firmware.

i had the same problem, and it was solved when i took my crappy COP made by a "un-named" vendor and went back to stock. Other things to consider... wastegate actuator and plugs
