real boost pressure?

i have an autometer boost gauge along with who knows how many feet of vacuum line hooked to it to measure boost but still dont trust it! it seems like its reading low and was wondering if theirs any other way to tell my real boost pressure for now until i can go out and buy a better gauge?

well first off you want to minimize the amount of vacuum line used, second what is it reading? also make sure the line isnt kinked or coiled tightly anywhere. a nice straight line with minimal turns would give you the best reading.
