hks ssqv problem

i just swapped out my forge bov for a hks ssqv(venting) and now its throwing a CEL. should i worry about this and is this gonna mess with the performance of the car? can my ecu be reflashed to take care of this or do i have to swap bov? i really like the sound, is there any way around this and still keep the sound?

Yup. most EVO's don't like VTA BOV's, especially 03'-04' EVO's and no there is no way to flash the ecu to fix it. HKS does sell a thing called EIDS that is supposed to help.

Well alot of members associate buying a bov soley for the sound to being a ricer and giving evos that mentality. Also with that BOV, there are fluttering and stalling issues. In addition to that, the only way you can run VTA successfully is through speed density which if you have to ask you dont need it.
