Doesn't matter how cool he is, Kevin. From what you say it isn't his car - he just gets to drive it some. His dad needs to be on here doing his research and should have done so before spending 10k on all those mods just to have a fairly slow Evo.

We can't do much to help him other than make a few random suggestions, because we don't know what is actually wrong with the car. IMO, they should just put back on the stock turbo with a full exhaust, alky, cams, and a custom flash. The car would make more power, a LOT more torque, have much quicker spool, and be much more fun, then they could sell all the crazy stuff like the big turbo and standalone, but I don't foresee them going through all that trouble.

Seriously, most of those mods are retarded for how much they cost and for what he's putting out for power.

He can't do what we tell him because his Daddy will overrule the advice. What's the poitn of this thread then?

I give up Caleb. Sorry =\ They'd rather bash. Next time make a brand new account and lie about your age so that maybe someone here just might help you.

If he was 47, it wouldn't change anything. Instead of getting butthurt, read what we're ACTUALLY saying and take it to heart.

Do you know what's wrong with his car? You're there with him, can inspect it, troubleshoot it, etc etc. WE have no idea other than a ton of money was spent on a setup that is not recommended on the Evo due to taking a crappy shop's advice, now that shop isn't helping to "fix" the car, but somehow we're supposed to be able to randomly troubleshoot and fix the car through text on a message board. Our suggestions are sound, whether he's 17 or 47. If he weren't 17, and it was his own money being spent, then he likely wouldn't have an Evo with 10k in mods now would he?

I think Warr is right about the path of mod he should have taken only if he can't get his current set-up "up to par".

Who cares who pays for his stuff? He has nice parts and he needs some real help. I would like to see what your engine bay looks like. I thought that your turbo kit came with a mani? Why are you using a SS piece?

It's too bad you listened to that shop that didn't really know what they were doing, I guess.

I agree and get rid of the cut out they have proven over and over to be a problem.

Also try to get the car to a GOOD shop ASAP

good luck

First off new intake and a new tune. I've told you new tune for the longest time. You gotta lay down the law even if your dad is paying for it, no one likes to buy the worst product and even though you have nice parts they are not working nicely.
