Best clutch for daily driver EVO

I need some help here. I am looking into getting an aftermarket clutch for my Evo. I have been reading around about aftermarkets here but haven't been able to find anything solid. I have no mods........and do not plan on modding anything. What clutch should I buy and would it be ok to get one off of Ebay? I am looking into getting something that will not be driven hard. My Evo is a daily driver and I am looking for a clutch that will last. Can anyone help me out I need to act quick on this?...........

Thanks

I have beat the crap out of my ACT HDSS for 18 months now and it still hold like new. I've tried other clutches and this is the one for me at least. More pedal pressure but I never complained about it, now I never think of it.

If you are staying stock, leave the stocker in there. No need to change it unless you cant drive.

How many miles did you get from the stocker? If you had it a long time then why not go that route again. Espesialy if you are content with a stock car. I would try to stick with a organic if I was not going to modify my car or do simple bolt ons. Just my opinion I have not tried any aftermarket clutches yet as my stocker is still good. Let us know what you go with and how you like it.

exedy stage 1 would probably be a great clutch to go with for daily driving on a stock evo.

it's a tad bit stronger than the oem setup and of course they are the inventors of your stock clutch...

Road Racing
Stock Clutch @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 278
Stage 1 @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 415
Stage 2 @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 480

Stock Clutch @ the wheels LBS-FT = 250
Stage 1 @ the wheels LBS-FT = 374
Stage 2 @ the wheels LBS-FT = 432

Drag Racing
Stock Clutch @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 223
Stage 1 @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 330
Stage 2 @ the Flywheel LBS-FT = 385

Stock Clutch @ the wheels LBS-FT = 201
Stage 1 @ the wheels LBS-FT = 297
Stage 2 @ the wheels LBS-FT = 347

So If im looking to by a new clutch, and i only drag race wouldnt the stage 2 wear down faster since its only a 4puck though? i mean to me its not worth the extra money if its just going to wear down faster...?

Say like for my mods, Im not putting down anything crazy that would require me to get a awesome clutch just yet + money is an issue at this time but I just dont see me buying a stage2 if its not going to last as long as a stage1 if that makes any since "seeing that i slip the clutch to launch my car"

I just need a clutch that will slip good like the stock clutch but last a bit longer and i would be happy, with the exception of rpm lockouts. But honestly in the end i really dont know what im talking about some someone with knowledge about evo/clutchs would be a great help right about now.

I think "War" is testing a 4 puck for exedy right now. Maybe he will chime in and give us an update on drivability and general likes and dislikes.

Kevlar segmented disk for smooth engagement and awesome grabbing power when needed with a nice price to boot. Organic discs are junk. They are cheap to manufacture and burn up easily so clutch companies push them. Think about it, it makes sense. Multiple disc clutches are proven and work great as long as you pick the right friction surfaces for your driving needs. Unfortunately they have a heafty price tag. Good luck and have fun
